People perceive a recording as having real value and they are willing to pay for it. 

However, if you really wanted to be upscale, you could take that same recording and put it on a CD (along with a nice looking label) and include that instead of the mp3. Including a cd with your ebook is valued very highly by some buyers. When using a CD Ebook combination, you can almost double the price of your original product. Of course, you should keep in mind that you will also have higher expenses using this technique. There are envelopes, postage, CD's, labels, and possibly artwork that you have to work into the price. 

If you plan on using interviews for your next ebook, get a release that the person you are interviewing can sign that gives you the right to use a recording of the interview in any manner you choose. You can find legal releases by doing a search.
