Ok... So you want to write an eBook? But not just any eBook will do. You want your eBook to be great. You really want to provide valuable content and help your audience succeed in what you are teaching. You want to build your reputation as the go-to person in your market. Here are a few tips that will help you write not just any eBook... but a great eBook.

1. Ask Questions

One of the easiest ways to keep your reader involved in your eBook is to ask questions. By asking questions you are actually helping your reader come to a valuable decision.

For Example: Let's say you are providing a recipe for the worlds best oatmeal cookies. You could ask you the question "Do you like your cookies chewy or crisp?" then you would go on to explain how to make your world famous oatmeal cookies either way.

You can see that by asking this simple question and providing the solution and you have added extra value to your content. Your reader may not have even considered the fact that they could have their cookies either way. Now they have two options.

2. Write Like Your Talking To A Friend

Have you thought about how you're going to talk in your eBook? I always try to write as if I am talking to my wife. Who by the way is a major "technophobe". But I always know that I have a winning article or report on my hands when she can read it and understand exactly what I have written. So, try to write like you talking to a friend over the phone or a cup of coffee. Weather you are baking cookies or building a deck on the back porch. Keep your language simple and remember to address your friend as "you". This will make your reader feel like you are talking directly to them.

3. Use Lots Of Examples
As you can see in this article I like to use the word "For Example" or "Quick Tip" in different places. I try to use these as a way for you to visualize how you can use this information in your own eBook writing. The more examples you can use the better.

For example: You're writing a eBook on How to Save Money at the Grocery Store, and you have just given the advice to shop during the week in order to take advantage of the best sales. You can then tell your reader,

"Quick Tip:" If shop on Wednesday instead of Sunday you are more likely to get in on better sale prices because that is when the grocery stores offer the best deals. You see... the stores are trying to draw more customers into their stores during the week because... Weekends are usually high traffic days where as during the week they experience lower traffic... that is why they offer better deals.

So try to use examples where ever you can to better help you reader visualize what you are teaching, If you can provide a picture or a video clip along with you example that is even better.
